FAQ

  • Does virtual education allow the academic success of students?
Of course! Virtual education, assisted by an academic coach, allows students to learn and practice both academic and social skills, achieve specific goals, and pursue their interests or passions. All this is essential for optimal performance in academic life or in the workplace.
  • Do students who receive virtual education develop social skills?
Of course they do. Part of the interests of our school is to maintain spaces for socialization between students, parents and coaches, not only to foster positive relationships with the community, but also with the environment and the world around them. Project-based learning allows students to constantly interact with their peers.
  • Does virtual education work for all types of people?
Our educational system works for any student or family interested in accessing a more open, interconnected and diverse education.
  • My son studied in a conventional school, what will his adaptation process to the virtual school be like?
We know that it can take a while to adjust to a new mode of learning. For this reason, before the start of the academic year, induction courses will be held, designed for parents and students, in which the Kinich School team will be in charge of supporting the transition process, seeking to make it as easy as possible. Some recommendations we make for this period are: be flexible, acknowledge progress and improvements, and be open to receiving support. Under the Learning One to One methodology we help develop the autonomy of student learning.
  • What happens to the assistance of my child if I have a full-time job?
Without the restrictions of traditional schools, families can make better use of their time and make their schedules more flexible to include the educational spaces for their children. Many families have changed their routines, for example alternating work schedules between parents or modifying their work schedules to assist their children in these times of transition.
  • Will my child be sitting in front of his iPad® device all day?
No, the magic of our educational system is that it allows students to combine virtual learning with the exploration of different spaces and materials. The coach and the students communicate through the iPad®, where they have the entire curriculum and different apps for activities and exercises. This allows the technology to be used in a correct way.
  • How long will my child spend in front of her or his device?
The session time in front of the iPad® will depend on the academic grade the student is in, ranging between 2 and 4 hours a day, approximately, in spaces of 40-60 minutes maximum, and breaks of 20-30 minutes.
  • What technological skills are necessary?
Each student will learn to use an Apple Ipad® when they will successfully study at our school. During the induction week you will receive guidance on the apps and tools that you will use during the school year.
  • What tablet or electronic device should my child use?
A last-generation Apple iPad®. The platform that supports our curriculum works with the latest IOS update. The average life of an iPad® is 3-5 years. Knotion, our curriculum and our apps DO NOT work with Android or Windows systems, therefore a different device cannot be used.
  • The iPad® must have insurance?
Each tablet purchased with us will be delivered with a protective sleeve. If you want to purchase protection insurance you must do so personally.
  • If I have two or more children, can they share the device?
The iPad® is one of the most important tools in their education, the use is personal and each child is required to have their own.
