We are a elementary and middle virtual school, driven by a multidisciplinary team with more than 20 years of practical experience.
We are a virtual, bilingual, and distance learning Elementary and Middle School for girls, boys, and teenagers between 7 and 14 years old.
Through interactive classes and personalized learning experiences, we encourage students to develop academic, technological, and social-emotional skills and competencies relevant in the 21st century.
Distance Learning and Online Education
According to the World Economy Forum, by 2030, more than half of the current work activities will be automatized. Even with this information few schools have thought of innovating teaching-learning processes for students.
Online learning experiences and virtual education are today, more than ever, a great option to develop academic, technological, and personal skills in our children.

The Kinich education system is registered in Texas, USA, and in process of accreditation by COGNIA. Cognia accreditation represents the unified policies and procedures for accreditation and certification from
NCA CASI, SACS CASI, and NWAC comprising three of the six regionally recognized K-12 accrediting bodies in the US. Together, they have been accrediting national and international institutions for more than 125 years.
It includes content in Spanish and English for dual and bicultural immersion.
In each class, students learn about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We have a reduced student-teacher ratio with maximum of 20 students per group. Small group instruction gives students more of the teacher’s focused attention and a chance to ask specific questions about what they learned.

How we teach...
At Kinich School, students collaborate with Academic Coaches to take ownership of their opportunities for meaningful learning.
Students learn and interact with classmates from all around the world. They work as a team, take online classes, and develop impact projects related to solve global problems.
Students are involved in inquiry activities and engagement techniques to create relevance and excitement to learn. We support student collaboration to build-up appropriate skills. Students reflect on their choices as a way to increase their agency as learners.
It is a process to highlight the knowledge, skills, and big ideas that students should get from a lesson, or unit. This step allows the student to keep focused on what is essential, offers a zoomed-out view of their learning, and shows the relationship between components of their building knowledge.
Students use prototyping tools and processes to gather feedback, test understanding of concepts, and develop skills and proficiency to design innovative solutions and test new ideas.
The students learn about implementing school knowledge in actions and plans in a different context. This approach allows them to analyze possible solutions for local and global problems.
Challenges: Interdisciplinary knowledge with a project-based approach to best serve the unique needs interacting with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
